Beverly Hills Movie Locations You Can Walk To

Brian leading a tour group down a Beverly Hills sidewalk

Beverly Hills has played itself in some of Hollywood's most beloved films, and the best part is that many of the locations sit within a few walkable blocks of each other. Here's a self-guided route through the Golden Triangle for movie lovers.

The Beverly Wilshire (Pretty Woman)

At 9500 Wilshire Boulevard, at the foot of Rodeo Drive, the Beverly Wilshire is where Julia Roberts' Vivian moves in with Richard Gere's Edward. Look for the signature striped awnings she walks under. One piece of movie trivia: the exterior and lobby are real, but the suite scenes were shot on a set.

Rodeo Drive (Pretty Woman)

Vivian's famous shopping spree plays out on Rodeo Drive. Look for the crossing at Brighton Way, where Edward reassures her that everyone is looking at him, not her.

Rodeo Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard (Pretty Woman)

The boutique where Vivian is snubbed, and later gets her "Big mistake. Huge." revenge, was filmed at the corner of Rodeo Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard, at 9501 Santa Monica Boulevard.

Beverly Hills City Hall (Beverly Hills Cop)

When Eddie Murphy's Axel Foley is hauled in and questioned by Taggart and Rosewood, those police station scenes were filmed at Beverly Hills City Hall, the city's 1932 Spanish Baroque landmark. It's also where our Food, Film & Fashion tour begins.

Rodeo Drive and the Beverly Wilshire (Beverly Hills Cop III)

The snooty bar where Foley is recognized in the third film is on Rodeo Drive, with the Beverly Wilshire in the background.

Worth the short drive

  • Beverly Hills High School: its famous "Swim Gym," a basketball court that opens into a pool, appears in "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Clueless."
  • The Beverly Hills Hotel: seen in the establishing shots of "Beverly Hills Cop" as Axel arrives in town.
  • The Spadena House: the storybook "Witch's House" at 516 Walden Drive. It's a private home, so admire it from the sidewalk.
