   The moment one steps into The Grill on the Alley, a sense of nostalgia washes over. The dimly lit, wood-paneled interior exudes an old-school charm, reminiscent of the classic steakhouses of yesteryear. Dark leather booths, crisp white tablecloths, and a subdued yet lively hum of conversation create an atmosphere that transcends time. The walls adorned with photographs of Hollywood legends further enhance the restaurant’s rich history, making it a uniquely Beverly Hills experience.  Even in 2023, this establishment is still an enduring lunch time favorite for the local ladies who lunch as well as the power brokers of entertainments finest a-listers.  In recent visits, we have seen everyone from Jason Alexander, Judge Judy, Keegan-Michael Key from Key and Peele, as well as Britney Spears’ body guard.

An Ode to Culinary Classics:

   The lunch menu at The Grill on the Alley pays homage to American culinary classics, with an emphasis on high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. From the moment the warm breadbasket arrives, anticipation builds for the culinary delights to come. Signature dishes such as the Prime New York Steak and Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes take center stage, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to delivering time-honored flavors with a touch of refinement.  My personal favorite is their Chicken Pot Pie, which singlehandedly redefines what a pot pie can be.  And, if you want a taste of Beverly Hills history, do enjoy their Cobb salad: the quintessential American Salad, first put together by Robert Cobb of the former Los Angeles landmark Brown Derby, originally located just a stone’s throw away. 

Impeccable Service:

  From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by incomparable hosts, Pamela and Hector, and the grand impresario himself Giorgio, who always welcome you with open arms as apart of the family.  The hallmark of any exceptional dining experience is often the service, and The Grill on the Alley does not disappoint. The attentive and professional staff ensures that every detail is attended to, from the moment guests are seated to the final sip of coffee. The waitstaff’s extensive knowledge of the menu, coupled with their genuine enthusiasm, adds a layer of warmth to the dining experience, making guests feel like cherished patrons in a private club.  Unlike other restaurants, many of the waitstaff, are career waiters, and have been with the company for decades.
